**Supporting the Implementation of Program B35: Renting FAME Storage Vessels to APROBI Members**

Jakarta, May 24, 2024 – PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK) took a significant step in supporting the government’s initiative towards using environmentally friendly fuel by signing a contract for vessel rental services and Ship to Ship (STS) management to distribute fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) biofuel.

**Key Players in the Partnership**

The collaboration involved 22 companies from the Association of Indonesian Biofuel Producers (APROBI). Symbolically, the agreement was signed by PTK’s Marketing Director, Andy Arvianto, alongside APROBI’s representative Ernest Gunawan, who serves as the Secretary General of APROBI and the Authorized Director of PT Musim Mas, Rowan Arifin, the CEO of PT Energi Unggul Persada.

The signing ceremony was attended by PTK’s CEO, I Ketut Laba, the Head of Distribution Division at the Indonesian Oil Palm Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS) Fajar Wahyudi, a representative from the Directorate General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Junaedi, and APROBI’s Deputy Chairman of the Supply Chain, Suwandi Winardi.

**Commitment to Energy Transition**

I Ketut Laba, PTK’s CEO, emphasized that this collaboration signifies PTK’s commitment to supporting the government’s energy transition initiative. He expressed gratitude to APROBI for their trust and reassured them of PTK’s dedication to maintaining service excellence by prioritizing Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) aspects.

Ernest Gunawan shared his optimism about the partnership, highlighting the positive synergy between biofuel producers and the logistics sector. He believes that working with PTK will strengthen the national biodiesel supply chain, ensuring efficient distribution that aligns with the government’s green energy objectives.

**Infrastructure Enhancement for Efficient Distribution**

The partnership also includes enhancing infrastructure capacity and biodiesel storage facilities at major ports. This is crucial to ensure the swift and timely distribution of B35 biodiesel, supporting the smooth operation of sea transportation, which is vital for distributing goods across Indonesia.

Fajar Wahyudi from BPDPKS added that this collaboration demonstrates the industry’s tangible support for the B35 program. With collective support, the distribution of biodiesel is expected to be more optimal and targeted, contributing to sustainable development and national energy resilience.
