Santunan Korban Longsor Pekalongan: Kemensos Siap Bantu Korban
In a tragic landslide that struck Pekalongan Regency, Central Java, 22 individuals lost their lives, 13 sustained injuries, and 4 are currently missing. The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) has swiftly prepared compensation for the families of the victims. The families of the deceased will receive Rp 15 million in compensation, while those with severe injuries will receive a maximum of Rp 5 million.
List of Victims and Missing Persons
The victims of the landslide include individuals like Revalina, Suyati, Kiki Pramudita, Sutar, Riyanto, Ayat, and others. Among the injured are Luwung Purwanto, Musrofin, Santi, Khusniah, and more. Notably, two individuals, Andre Fikar Almardhafi and Sarya, managed to survive the disaster. Additionally, there are 4 individuals who remain missing, including M. Teguh Imanto, Aurel, Tegar Hapriyanto, and M. Nasrullah Amin.
Search and Rescue Efforts
To aid in the search for the missing individuals, Kemensos has deployed 40 Taruna Siaga Bencana (Tagana) personnel. Prior to this, the Tagana team set up a communal kitchen at SD 02 Yosorejo, Petung Priono Subdistrict, producing up to 4,500 meal packages daily to support evacuees.
Logistical Support and Aid Distribution
Kemensos has distributed various aid packages, including 300 Family Kits, 580 ready-to-eat meal packs, 694 children’s meal packs, 900 ready-to-eat side dish packs, and more. The aid also consists of essentials like mattresses, blankets, tents, and clothing for both adults and children.
Cause of the Landslide
The devastating landslide in Pekalongan was triggered by heavy rainfall on Monday, January 20, 2025. The unstable soil conditions exacerbated the impact of the disaster, affecting 11 districts in the region.
