Pertamina Receives Three HR Excellence Awards
Jakarta, July 25, 2024 – PT Pertamina (Persero) has clinched three awards at The 15th Indonesia HR Excellence Conference & Awarding 2024, organized by SWA Magazine, held at the Ballroom Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
The accolades in the field of human resources (HR) were bestowed upon Pertamina for its outstanding management of human resources, including the utilization of digitalization for HR management purposes.
Recognition for Excellence in HR Management
The awards were accepted by Pertamina’s HR Director, M. Erry Sugiharto, in three categories: Learning & Development (L&D) and Knowledge Management, Reward Management & Talent Retention Strategy, and HR Digitization & People Analytics.
In response to this achievement, Pertamina’s HR Director, M. Erry Sugiharto, expressed that the HR Directorate of Pertamina has become a strategic business partner in managing and providing top-notch talent within the company. This allows them to have a high level of competitiveness and global expertise in line with the evolving needs of the business world, especially in the energy industry.
The Importance of Digitalization in Talent Management
Furthermore, Erry stated that digitalization has become crucial in ensuring the effective and efficient management of talent, leading to increased productivity and a culture of high performance. Particularly with around 45,000 Pertamina employees, predominantly millennials and Gen Z, across various business lines such as upstream, midstream, downstream, and portfolio services, in different regions both in Indonesia and abroad.
“Pertamina already has an application called Pertamina Development Hub (PDH) as a competency-based development system for employees, which can be done in real-time and accessed anytime, anywhere. We hope that the utilization of this technology can accelerate the enhancement of competencies and meet the development needs of all employees,” Erry remarked.
Motivation for Continuous Improvement
Vice President Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, added that receiving recognition in the field of HR can motivate Pertamina to continuously enhance the management of employee competencies to support the sustainability of Pertamina’s business while fostering an excellent human resource management ecosystem in other state-owned enterprises.
“Pertamina’s methods in improving the competencies and performance of its employees are expected to continue evolving, especially in the utilization of technology, the positive impact of which is already being felt within Pertamina,” Fadjar explained.
