**Pertamina Expands Official Fuel Stations to Ensure Fair Prices**
Surabaya, 15 January 2025 – In response to the adjustment of the Maximum Retail Price (Harga Eceran Tertinggi or HET) for subsidized 3kg LPG in the East Java region, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus ensures that the stock of LPG in Pertamina’s distribution chain up to the Official 3kg LPG Stations is safe.
The price adjustment of subsidized 3kg LPG that took effect today (15/1) according to the Decree of the Acting Governor of East Java No. 100.3.3.1/801/KPTS/013/2024 has increased from Rp 16,000 to Rp 18,000. The implementation of the new HET is purely the decision of the Acting Governor of East Java without Pertamina’s involvement, considering conditions such as the HET in neighboring provinces of Bali and DIY Central Java have increased with the same price.

Efforts to Ensure Fair Prices
**
Area Manager Comm, Rel & CSR, Ahad Rahedi, highlighted that with this HET adjustment, the public should not engage in panic buying. Efforts are being made to encourage retailers to upgrade to official stations to serve the community more extensively. Retailers are not part of the monitored distribution chain since they do not have contracts with Agents or Stations. It is recommended to purchase 3kg cylinders at official stations to avoid sanctions or termination of business relationships if regulations are not followed.
Currently, there are over 2 official stations in every village in the East Java region, and as more retailers transition to official stations, it will be easier and more convenient for the community to obtain subsidized 3kg LPG, according to Ahad.

Steps Towards Price Compliance

Ahad added that in line with the directives from the East Java Provincial Government, Pertamina has conducted various outreach activities with the government, related agencies, Hiswana Migas, SPBE, and LPG PSO Agents. To ensure LPG prices comply with the HET, Pertamina regularly monitors and conducts spot checks at stations to ensure pricing adherence.
Currently, there are a total of 34,739 3kg LPG stations in East Java, with 142 retailers who have upgraded to official stations, and over 400 retailers in the process of transitioning. The LPG stock in East Java is at a safe level of 9,010 metric tons, with a daily consumption average of 4,668 metric tons.
In addition, to monitor purchases of subsidized 3kg LPG and ensure the appropriate distribution and usage of subsidized goods, Pertamina will continue to conduct data collection, as mentioned by Ahad.
