The investigation, which took place on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, involved a detailed examination of the crime scene and Hendrawan’s Toyota Vios, which was found at the location where he was discovered deceased.

According to Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi, the Director of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metro Police, the investigation team also utilized satellite technology to gather data on weather conditions, wind speed, and humidity at the time of the incident. Prior to the car falling into the sea, it is estimated that Hendrawan was driving at a speed of 35 km/hour.
Discovery of the Car and Subsequent Actions
Earlier, the North Jakarta Metro Police and Tanjung Priok Police found the car that Brigadier General (Ret.) TNI Hendrawan Ostevan was driving not far from where his body was discovered at the Marunda Dock in Cilincing, North Jakarta. The vehicle, a Toyota Vios with license plate number B 1606 LB, was located by a joint search team around 10 a.m.
Police Efforts and Family Communication
The authorities have since retrieved the car from the seabed and are conducting a thorough examination to gather evidence related to the victim’s death. Ade mentioned that the vehicle will undergo laboratory examination by the Polri Forensic Laboratory. The investigation also revealed CCTV footage of Hendrawan driving his car into the KCN Marunda Dock at 00:35 AM. The vehicle continued its journey around Kade 07-08 until it reached the end of the dock, where it ultimately fell into the sea.
