Record Holiday Traffic: Jasa Marga Reports 6 Million Vehicles Passing Through Toll Roads

Jakarta, 07/01 – In a bustling holiday season, PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. has documented a staggering total of 6,041,022 vehicles leaving and entering the Jabotabek area during the 2024/2025 Christmas and New Year period. This figure represents the cumulative traffic flow from four main Toll Gates – GT Cikupa, GT Ciawi, GT Cikampek Utama, and GT Kalihurip Utama.

Increased Traffic Volume

Compared to normal traffic, the total volume of vehicles heading in and out of Jabotabek has seen an 11.2% increase, with a total of 5,430,726 vehicles. When compared to the previous Nataru period in 2023/2024, this year’s traffic volume is 3.2% lower, totaling 6,242,508 vehicles.

Jasa Marga recorded 3,025,129 vehicles departing Jabotabek during the 2024/2025 Nataru period, showing an 11.16% increase from the normal traffic volume of 2,721,476 vehicles. The distribution of outbound traffic is as follows:

– Eastbound (Trans Java and Bandung) through GT Cikampek Utama and GT Kalihurip Utama: 1,412,718 vehicles, a 23.56% increase.
– Westbound (Merak) through GT Cikupa: 914,669 vehicles, a 0.87% increase.
– Southbound (Puncak) through GT Ciawi: 697,742 vehicles, a 3.93% increase.

Return Traffic Volume

For vehicles returning to Jabotabek, Jasa Marga recorded 3,015,893 vehicles during the 2024/2025 Nataru period, marking an 11.32% increase from normal traffic volume. The breakdown of return traffic distribution is as follows:

– Eastbound (Trans Java and Bandung): 1,403,302 vehicles, a 21.97% increase.
– Westbound (Merak) through GT Cikupa: 899,921 vehicles, a 1.23% increase.
– Southbound (Puncak): 712,670 vehicles, a 6.40% increase.
