Bandung – Indonesia’s Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program is making waves as it showcases President Prabowo Subianto’s unwavering commitment to human development, as stated by the Presidential Communication Office (PCO). During a recent speech in Bandung, West Java, PCO spokesperson Dedek Prayudi addressed concerns regarding the MBG program’s impact on other government initiatives. Moreover, plans are underway to offer free tuberculosis screenings on residents’ birthdays, with a substantial budget allocation of Rp8 trillion. An additional Rp15 trillion has been set aside to enhance health infrastructure, encompassing hospitals and public health centers.

“We have shifted the state budget’s focus to human development, while infrastructure projects continue with greater private sector involvement,” Prayudi emphasized. Furthermore, in a bold move to stimulate investor participation in the development of Nusantara, Indonesia’s upcoming capital in East Kalimantan, the government has reduced its financial contributions. Prayudi clarified, “A law restricts state budget contributions to 10 percent of the project’s total funding. As we approach this threshold, we are inviting investors to join us in shaping the city’s future.”
