Global Game Jam Indonesia Produces 126 Digital Games – Menparekraf Appreciates
Jakarta, January 29, 2024 – The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/Agency for Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf/Baparekraf) showed its full support for the international gaming event, “Global Game Jam,” which took place simultaneously worldwide, including in 10 cities in Indonesia from January 22 to 28, 2024.
Menparekraf/Kabaparekraf Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, speaking on “The Weekly Brief With Sandi Uno” on Monday (1/29/2024), highlighted the essence of this event where gaming enthusiasts gather to learn, experiment, create, and collaborate in developing games within a 48-hour time frame. The theme for the games created during this event was ‘Make Me Laugh,’ aimed at bringing joy and creativity to the participants.
“We are thrilled to be part of the planning and execution of the Global Game Jam. It is a fantastic opportunity for the gaming community to come together and showcase their talents,” expressed Menparekraf Sandiaga.

A total of 633 participants came together to create 126 digital games and 8 board games during this event, showcasing the creativity and skill present within the Indonesian gaming community.
