PT Pertamina EP Sukowati Field Zone 11 Boosts Teacher Capacity with Environmental School-Based Training
Bojonegoro – In a bid to enhance teacher capacity for environmentally sustainable schools, PT Pertamina EP Sukowati Field, Zone 11, held a training session on the Adiwiyata School program for teachers at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Manbaul Ulum Plosolanang in Campurejo Village, Bojonegoro District on Saturday, February 17th.
The event aimed to equip teachers with the necessary skills to steer their schools towards becoming Adiwiyata environmentally friendly institutions. Attended by representatives from Campurejo Village government, Bojonegoro District Environment Agency, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the training received positive feedback and support from local officials.
Edy Sampurno, the Head of Campurejo Village, emphasized the significance of such initiatives in fulfilling the village’s mission of promoting a healthy living environment. He highlighted the training’s role in preparing for the upcoming Provincial Village Beauty contest in March, aligning with Campurejo Village’s vision of creating a sustainable environment.
Expressing gratitude to PT Pertamina EP Sukowati for facilitating the training, Sampurno acknowledged the company’s contribution to the community. The Ministry of Religious Affairs in Bojonegoro also welcomed the capacity-building efforts for madrasah teachers in the region.

During the training, Siti Mahfudhoh from the Ministry of Religious Affairs shared insights on designing healthy madrasahs. She emphasized the importance of maintaining clean, orderly, and attractive school environments, proper waste disposal facilities, and adequate clean water supply to meet health standards.
Nur Rahmawati from the Bojonegoro Environment Agency emphasized the crucial role of community environmental awareness in combating existing environmental damage and pollution. She highlighted the adverse effects of environmental pollution on human life, such as floods and climate change, urging proactive measures to mitigate environmental degradation.

PT Pertamina EP Sukowati Field reiterated its commitment to environmental improvement, aligning its efforts with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 on Quality Education. Field Manager Totok Parafianto affirmed the company’s dedication to environmental quality enhancement through initiatives like environmental education, renewable energy adoption, and organic farming in their adopted villages.
