In Jakarta, on February 6, 2025, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) reaffirmed its commitment to driving energy transition in the transportation sector by partnering with PT Aerotrans Services Indonesia. This collaboration aims to introduce a gas fuel solution for Aerotrans’ operational vehicles, enhancing efficiency while reducing carbon emissions.
PGN will provide supporting infrastructure, including strategically located Gas Filling Stations (SPBG) to ensure easier access for Aerotrans vehicles. Additionally, PGN will implement conversion technology that allows vehicles running on conventional fuels to safely and efficiently transition to gas fuel.
Rosa Permata Sari, Director of Strategy and Business Development at PGN, expressed, “This collaboration to utilize natural gas supports efficiency and the green energy ecosystem in Aerotrans. We are ready to provide beneficial solutions related to gas fuel utilization, in line with PGN’s strategic direction to expand the use of natural gas in the transportation sector.”
On the other hand, Kadek Bayu Temaja, Director of PT Aerotrans Services Indonesia, welcomed this partnership as a tangible step towards introducing more environmentally friendly energy solutions in the transportation sector. “We manage over 800 vehicles spread across Jakarta and other areas. Collaborating with PGN has the potential to jointly explore the use of natural gas for greener vehicle fuel,” he explained.
