Uncovering the Drug Dealer Behind the Murder of Bripda Faras in Lahat: Police Seize 1 Kg of Marijuana
In a tragic turn of events, three police officers from the Lahat Police Resort in South Sumatra fell victim to a stabbing during a drug dealer raid on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, in the early hours of the morning. One officer, Bripda Faras Nahbah Attalah, succumbed to stab wounds, while two others are currently undergoing treatment.
The Perpetrator and His Accomplice
The stabbing culprit has been identified as a drug dealer named Ebi, aged 27. Additionally, Ebi’s associate, Lindi Fernandes, 20, was apprehended for her involvement in distributing marijuana. The police raid took place at Ebi’s residence in Simpang III Pumu Village, Tanjung Sakti Pumu District, Lahat Regency. Local residents had reported suspicious activities related to drug transactions at Ebi’s home, prompting the authorities to take action.
Upon the arrival of law enforcement, Ebi recklessly brandished a sharp weapon, injuring three officers, including Bripda Faras. Following the stabbing, Ebi attempted to flee through the back door but was shot in the left leg by one of the officers, causing him to fall. Subsequently, Ebi was subdued due to the imminent threat he posed to the officers’ safety.
The Seizure and Arrest
During the raid, the police confiscated a brown bag belonging to Ebi, containing a total of 1,020 grams of packaged marijuana. Both the suspect and the incriminating evidence have been taken to the Lahat Police Resort for further investigation and processing.
