Not only did the robbers make off with hundreds of millions of his money, but he also sustained injuries from a sharp weapon.
Details of the Robbery
According to a relative of the victim, Abdul Jalil, the robbery was carried out by two executioners and one person waiting on a motorcycle. They entered the victim’s house by breaking the lock of the gate and smashing the front door. Zuhdi’s wife, who was awakened, tried to close the bedroom door and ended up pushing and shoving with the two robbers. One of the robbers then attacked with a machete, injuring Zuhdi as he tried to protect his wife.
Brave Stand Against the Robbers
The victim’s son also attempted to fight back against one of the perpetrators, but his resistance was halted after the perpetrator pointed what appeared to be a firearm at him. Subsequently, the perpetrator forced the victim to show the location of the money stash, leading to the theft of approximately Rp300 million. Additionally, several cell phones were taken by the robbers, as mentioned by Abdul Jalil.
Efforts to Conceal the Crime
The robbers also cut the CCTV cables and took the DVR to cover their tracks. As they fled, some citizens claimed to have seen someone picking up money scattered on the street. However, they were unaware that this person was actually a robber from Zuhdi’s house.
