Jakarta – Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Fauzan, emphasized the critical role that university student organizations play in contributing to national development. Speaking at the closing of the National Coordination Meeting of the Muhammadiyah Student Association (IMM) in Bali on Saturday, January 18, Fauzan highlighted the significance of student organizations as a vital link between the younger generation and various development programs in Indonesia.

Fauzan stressed the importance of students as agents of change who need to be fully committed to national development in areas such as education, social issues, and the economy. He pointed out that engaging in student organizations provides valuable opportunities that should be optimally utilized. Strategic Policies of IMM
Deputy Minister Fauzan commended IMM for its national strategic policies that are aligned with the country’s development goals. These policies focus on enhancing food security, improving human resource quality, empowering villages, and promoting a green economy. Some of the strategic initiatives include the National Movement for Planting Two Million Trees, the National Movement for Establishing 1,000 Thematic Villages, and the National Movement for 500 Al-Quran Education Centers (TPQ).
