Boosting Unity Energy in Ramadan: Pertamina and Ministry of SOEs Distribute 1,000 Affordable Food Packages
In a heartwarming display of compassion and community spirit, Pertamina and the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) recently organized the Safari Ramadan SOEs 2024 event at the Al Wathoniyah 43 Islamic Boarding School Foundation in Rorotan, North Jakarta, on Thursday, March 21, 2024.
Spreading Blessings Through Affordable Food Packages
The primary goal of this initiative was to spread blessings and goodwill during the holy month of Ramadan to the surrounding communities, fostering a sense of togetherness and unity. A total of 1,000 affordable food packages were distributed to the residents of Rorotan. Each package, priced at Rp75,000, consisted of 5 kg of rice, 1 liter of cooking oil, and 1 kg of sugar. The arrival of these affordable food packages was met with enthusiasm by the local residents near the Al Wathoniyah 43 Islamic Boarding School Foundation.
Empowering Communities Through Economic Support
In addition to the food distribution, a local market for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) supported by SOEs was organized to assist the surrounding community in their economic endeavors. The head of the Al Wathoniyah 43 Islamic Boarding School Foundation, KH. Lukmanul Hakim, expressed gratitude for the program initiated by the Ministry of SOEs and Pertamina. He also shared his hope that Pertamina’s compassion and support would continue to positively impact the local community.
Vice President of CSR & SMEPP Management at Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman, highlighted the company’s commitment to providing energy nationwide while also contributing to society through Social and Environmental Responsibility Programs. She emphasized that Pertamina’s involvement in the Safari Ramadan SOEs program aimed to support the Sustainable Development Goals and foster self-reliance within communities.
