Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of the Indonesian Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Menparekraf/Kabaparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno has expressed his appreciation for sound healing as an alternative wellness approach.
Mental Health Study in Jakarta
“I highly appreciate sound healing as an alternative wellness method in Indonesia. During my time in Jakarta (serving as Deputy Governor of DKI), we conducted a study and found that 20 percent of the Jakarta population is dealing with some form of mental health issue,” Sandiaga shared during “The Weekly Brief With Sandi Uno” at Sapta Pesona Building, Jakarta, on Monday, July 22, 2024.
Sound healing is known as a music therapy that helps calm the mind and assist patients experiencing anxiety or depression.

Director of Special Interest Tourism at Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf, Itok Parikesit, mentioned that the sound healing event will attract participants from various sectors.
Participants and World Vegan Organization’s Presence
30 percent will be Kemenparekraf employees, while 70 percent will consist of a mix from the Jakarta Provincial Government, academics, associations, sports communities, health institutions, and educational institutions in Jakarta and surrounding areas.
The President of the World Vegan Organization (WVO) & Vegan Society of Indonesia (VSI), Dr. Susianto Tseng, M.K.M., will also be in attendance.
