Hasjim Djalal passed away at Pondok Indah Hospital in South Jakarta on Sunday at 4:40 PM. Throughout his career, he served as Indonesia’s Ambassador to the United Nations (1981-1983), Canada (1983-1985), and Germany (1990-1993), as well as a roaming Ambassador during the administrations of Presidents Suharto and BJ Habibie.
