Saturday (May 17) was a big day for approximately 180 elementary and junior high school students who attended an inspiring Sharing Session organized by PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WIKA Beton) in collaboration with Rumah Belajar BEM Universitas Indonesia (Rumbel UI). The event took place at the Student Activity Center Auditorium (Pusgiwa) at the University of Indonesia in Depok. This initiative falls under WIKA Beton’s Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSR) program, focusing on education.
The session, titled “WIKA Beton Builds the Future,” featured Syailendra Ogan, the Director of Finance, Human Capital, and Risk Management at WIKA Beton, as the keynote speaker. Ogan shared his personal journey from his school days to becoming a member of the board of directors, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and hard work in achieving one’s dreams. He motivated the young students to dream big and believe in themselves, highlighting the role of discipline and support in reaching their goals.
Not really sure why this matters, but the event also included interactive quizzes, group games, and other educational activities led by volunteers from WIKA Beton and Rumbel UI. The lively atmosphere throughout the event showed the positive impact of such programs on students’ confidence and motivation. WIKA Beton further demonstrated its commitment to education by providing financial assistance to Rumbel UI to support their teaching and learning programs for the upcoming year. This collaboration between industry and academia aims to address educational challenges in society and nurture a competitive and empowered young generation for the future.
