The Jakarta Police Headquarters has arranged traffic redirections around the State Palace on Thursday, February 20, 2025, in light of the inauguration of hundreds of elected regional leaders following the 2024 simultaneous regional elections.
To ensure the smooth running of the inauguration ceremonies for these local officials, the Metro Jaya Regional Police Traffic Director, Commissioner Latif Usman, explained that the traffic redirections were put in place. Latif emphasized the importance of creating a safe and comfortable traffic flow for the public passing through the inauguration area. “The police are committed to ensuring a safe and comfortable traffic flow for the public passing through the inauguration site,” he told reporters on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
The traffic redirections are scheduled to start at 06:00 AM local time and will continue until the ceremonies conclude. Additionally, the police have made arrangements for parking spaces for the inauguration participants.
“All vehicles belonging to the inauguration participants and their supporters are directed to park at the National Monument (Monas) area,” Latif added.

Traffic Route Redirection Details:
– Traffic from Jalan Veteran Raya heading towards Jalan Veteran will be directed to the Harmoni traffic light.
– Vehicles from Jalan Mertim bound for the State Palace will turn right onto Jalan Perwira.
– Traffic from Jalan Ridwan Rais heading to Jalan Mersel will be diverted to Jalan Mertim.
– Vehicles from Jalan MH Thamrin heading to the Horse Statue will turn left to Jalan Kebon Sirih.
– Those on Jalan Abdul Muis intending to turn left onto Jalan Budi Kemuliaan will be redirected to Jalan Fachrudin, while traffic from Jalan Fachrudin heading to Jalan Budi Kemuliaan will follow Jalan Abdul Muis.
– Traffic from Jalan Hayam Wuruk going straight to Jalan Majapahit will turn left onto Jalan Juanda, and those from Jalan Suryo Pranoto heading to IR H Juanda will turn left onto Jalan Gajah Mada.
– Vehicles from Jalan Katedral heading towards Jalan Veteran will turn right towards Pasar Baru.
– Traffic from Jalan Veteran Raya going to Jalan Veteran II will be directed towards the Harmoni traffic light.
