Suzuki Extends Helping Hand with Free Towing for Flood Victims in Bekasi
In recent days, heavy rainfall has triggered flooding in several areas, including the city of Bekasi. As a result, many vehicles have been submerged, hindering the mobility of their owners. In response to this situation, PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) has taken swift action by introducing a Free Towing service, offering free vehicle evacuation for Suzuki customers affected by the floods.
The program will run from March 5 to March 11, 2025, with the support of Nine Authorized Suzuki Workshops ready to handle vehicles to ensure they can be safely and comfortably used again. Hariadi, Assistant to the Aftersales Department Head of Service at PT SIS, emphasized, “Customer needs are our top priority. To assist vehicle owners affected by the floods, Suzuki has introduced the Free Towing service. The network of workshops and experienced mechanics support this initiative as a way to reduce the risk of further damage and help customers avoid vehicle evacuation costs.”
The Free Towing service is aimed at easing customers’ technical challenges due to flooding and alleviating financial burdens. Suzuki has deployed a fleet of towing vehicles at the Nine authorized workshops located in Pondok Gede, Kalimalang, Jatiasih, Kranji, Tambun, Bekasi Barat, Bekasi Timur, Bekasi Utara, and Babelan.
A specialized team will be on standby to pick up and evacuate customers’ vehicles impacted by the floods to prevent further damage and ensure a quicker recovery process. Suzuki also stresses the importance of handling post-flood vehicles correctly. Water entering the engine, fuel system, and electrical components can cause serious damage if not addressed properly.
It is recommended that customers do not start their vehicles immediately after being submerged in floodwater. Instead, it is better to use towing services to transport the vehicle to a workshop. As an added form of support, Suzuki is offering a 5% discount on the purchase of Suzuki Genuine Parts (SGP), allowing customers to obtain genuine spare parts at a more affordable price to ensure the vehicle’s performance remains optimal.
Customers who wish to take advantage of the Free Towing service program can contact Halo Suzuki at 0800 1100 800 as soon as possible, as this service is limited. The Halo Suzuki customer relations team will gather information about the customer’s vehicle, evacuation needs, and pickup location, and the authorized Suzuki workshop team will promptly move to assist in transporting the affected vehicles.
