Batam, December 30, 2024 – Deputy Minister of Tourism (Wamenpar) Ni Luh Puspa made a working visit to the Riau Islands and started the activities by reviewing the destination of Kampung Tua Tanjung Riau, Batam City, on Monday (30/12/2024).
Ni Luh Puspa, in that opportunity, reviewed a destination that had previously received infrastructure strengthening support in the form of waterfront development by the Ministry of PUPR, thus adding to the attraction of the destination that offers a view of the open sea.
“I see that Tanjung Riau is actually good because the Ministry of PUPR has built its supporting dock, but what still needs to be addressed is the maintenance and waste management,” said Ni Luh Puspa.
This is the main concern of the Ministry of Tourism. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed many things, one of which is the behavior and paradigms of people in tourism.
Quality and sustainable tourism is believed to be the main focus in the future development of tourist destinations, where cleanliness, safety, and comfort of tourists are some of the main points of concern for the public.
