Pertamina Patra Niaga Ensures Reliable LPG Supply in Kaltara
In Tarakan, on February 7, 2025, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan has reassured the public that the distribution chain of 3 Kg subsidized LPG within Pertamina’s official distribution network is secure and in compliance with the Highest Retail Price (HET) regulations.

Edi Mangun, the Area Manager of Communication & CSR Kalimantan, emphasized that Pertamina consistently collaborates with various stakeholders, including Disperindag, local governments, city/district authorities, Hiswana Migas, and local law enforcement agencies, to monitor the targeted distribution of the 3 kg LPG and ensure that the selling price aligns with the stipulated HET.

“Pertamina Patra Niaga is committed to ensuring that the community receives the subsidized LPG as rightfully entitled. We also urge the public to purchase the 3 kg LPG from official depots at prices in accordance with the HET,” stated Edi.

As part of the optimization strategy for distribution, there are currently sub-depots for LPG that are operational to support the smooth distribution process and facilitate public access to the 3 Kg LPG.

These sub-depots are small convenience stores or LPG retailers previously registered in the Pertamina Merchant Apps (MAP) as retailers, now transitioning into sub-depots.

With government policies enhancing the role of retailers in LPG distribution, local communities can now obtain the 3 Kg LPG more easily and in line with its intended purpose.

Edi further mentioned that Pertamina guarantees the availability of 3 kg LPG at government-regulated prices. Pertamina advises the public against panic buying, encouraging the preparation of stockpiles and contingencies if necessary to ensure the safe distribution of LPG within communities.

As of February 6, 2025, approximately 357,080 cylinders of 3 Kg LPG have been distributed in the North Kalimantan region, with an average daily distribution of 11,902 cylinders.

Pertamina encourages the public to use LPG according to its intended purpose, emphasizing that the 3 kg LPG is a subsidized product specifically for economically disadvantaged individuals. They also suggest using non-subsidized LPG options like Brightgas 5.5 Kg and 12 Kg for financially capable individuals and non-micro entrepreneurs.

For those still facing challenges in acquiring 3 kg LPG, they can visit the nearest depot accessible through the link ptm.id/infolpg3kg or contact the Pertamina Call Center at 135.

Ensuring Fair Pricing and Accessibility

Pertamina’s commitment to coordinating with various stakeholders highlights their dedication to ensuring fair pricing and accessibility of LPG for all segments of society. By actively engaging with local authorities and law enforcement agencies, they create a system that safeguards the distribution process, preventing any potential issues that may arise.

Empowering Communities Through Sub-Depots

The establishment of sub-depots as part of the distribution strategy not only streamlines the process but also empowers local communities by providing them with easier access to LPG. This innovative approach transforms small retailers into essential distribution points, creating a network that caters to the diverse needs of the population.

In conclusion, Pertamina’s efforts in maintaining a reliable supply chain of LPG in Kaltara demonstrate their unwavering commitment to serving the community. By prioritizing transparency, affordability, and accessibility, they pave the way for a sustainable and inclusive energy distribution system that benefits all residents.
