Ramadan Jazz Festival: A Harmony of Music and Social Good

The 14th edition of the Ramadan Jazz Festival (RJF) is set to take place on March 14-15, 2025, at the serene setting of the Pelataran Masjid Cut Meutia in Menteng, Central Jakarta. This year, the festival carries the theme “Our Time is Now,” inviting the community to embrace Ramadan as a time for sharing, spreading kindness, and aiding others in need.

Organized through a collaboration between Remaja Islam Masjid Cut Meutia (RICMA) and Wartajazz, the event aims to channel all ticket sales proceeds towards the renovation of mosques and prayer rooms in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) region that require assistance.

During a press conference held in the Kemang area of South Jakarta on Friday, February 14, 2025, Muhammad Arief Perdana, a representative from RICMA, emphasized, “Tickets will be donated for the revitalization of mosques and prayer rooms around Jabodetabek that are in need.”

Renowned musician Rafi Sudirman expressed his delight in being part of the RJF lineup this year, emphasizing that the festival stands out from the rest due to its charitable nature. “This is a different kind of festival, first and foremost because of its blessings. The fact that the funds will be allocated for mosques is something truly noble,” Sudirman shared.

Beyond its charitable cause, RJF 2025 promises a lineup of talented Indonesian musicians who are ready to entertain the audience. The first day, Friday, March 14, 2025, will feature performances by Salma Salsabil, Pendarra, HIVI, and Rafi Sudirman.

A Melodic Journey: Highlight Performances

The second day of the festival, Saturday, March 15, 2025, will showcase a captivating array of artists, including the soulful tunes of Kunto Aji, the melodic voice of Nabilla Taqiyyah, the energetic sounds of Wijaya 80, the enchanting performance by Nadhif Basalamah, and the vibrant beats of Burgundy.

The RJF not only serves as a platform for musical talents to shine but also as a reminder of the power of music and community in coming together for a greater good. As attendees revel in the harmonious melodies and vibrant performances, they are also contributing to the enhancement of sacred spaces in the Jabodetabek region, embodying the spirit of Ramadan through unity and generosity.

With its fusion of music, charity, and communal spirit, the Ramadan Jazz Festival continues to weave a tapestry of harmony and goodwill, resonating with audiences far beyond the confines of its musical notes. As the festival approaches, let us embrace the essence of sharing, kindness, and togetherness, making the most of “Our Time is Now” to spread joy and compassion in the world around us.
