**Providing Free Meals to Pupils in South Tangerang: A Heartwarming Initiative**
South Tangerang, Banten – In a heartening display of compassion and commitment to the well-being of the nation’s youth, Deputy Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Todotua Pasaribu took part in distributing food packages as part of the Free Nutritious Meals program at Lengkong Gudang Public Elementary School. This initiative, which is a part of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka’s flagship program, aims to provide free nutritious meals to underprivileged students across the country.
**Students Delighted with National Program**
As Deputy Minister Pasaribu interacted with the pupils at Lengkong Gudang School, he noted their positive reception of the program. “The students seem very delighted with this program,” he remarked, highlighting the impact of this initiative on the young beneficiaries. The distribution of meals, which included a menu of rice, beef bulgogi, tofu soup, stir-fried corn and carrots, and oranges, was met with smiles and gratitude from the first graders.
**Nationwide Expansion of Free Nutritious Meals Program**
The Free Nutritious Meals program, which officially launched last week, has been operational at seven locations in South Tangerang since its nationwide inception on January 6. The meals, prepared at a special kitchen known as the nutritional fulfillment service unit (SPPG), are then transported to schools like Lengkong Gudang to ensure that students receive balanced and healthy nutrition to support their growth and learning.
**Government’s Commitment to Nutritional Well-being**
Through this program, the government aims to enhance the nutritional intake of various vulnerable groups, including toddlers, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and schoolchildren up to the senior high school level. With a target of providing free nutritious meals to 15 million beneficiaries this year and an ambitious goal of reaching 83 million recipients by 2029, the administration is actively working to address food insecurity and promote healthy eating habits among the population.
In conclusion, initiatives like the Free Nutritious Meals program not only address immediate hunger needs but also contribute to the overall well-being and development of the nation’s youth. The government’s commitment to ensuring adequate nutrition for all segments of society reflects a dedication to building a healthier and more prosperous Indonesia for future generations.
