Priority Sectors for Collaboration Between Kadin and RI-Pakistan
Jakarta (ANTARA) – Anindya Bakrie, Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), has identified four priority sectors for collaboration with Pakistan: food security, energy security, health, and defense. This initiative was discussed during a meeting with Pakistani Ambassador to Indonesia Ameer Khurram Rathore.
Strengthening Bilateral Ties
Bakrie emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation between Indonesia and Pakistan, two developing nations with shared strengths in various key sectors. He highlighted the significance of working closely with Pakistan to explore trade missions and expos that are set to take place in August.
Building Economic Bridges
Kadin plans to collaborate closely with its Pakistani counterpart to boost bilateral trade and foster economic cooperation that benefits not only large businesses but also Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Ambassador Rathore echoed Bakrie’s sentiments, emphasizing the favorable foundation for developing robust business and trade cooperation between the two countries.
Positive Trade Outlook
According to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Indonesia recorded a trade surplus with Pakistan in the January-November 2024 period, with exports totaling US$3.04 billion against imports of US$529 million. This positive trade outlook sets the stage for further collaboration and economic growth between the two nations.
As we delve into the realm of international trade and collaboration, it’s essential to recognize the human aspect behind these diplomatic efforts. Behind the headlines and statistics lie stories of individuals striving to build bridges, forge relationships, and create opportunities for mutual growth and prosperity.
Imagine the countless conversations, negotiations, and shared visions that take place behind closed doors, all in the name of fostering economic cooperation and strengthening ties between nations. It’s a testament to the power of dialogue, understanding, and partnership in overcoming barriers and building a brighter future for all involved.
So, the next time you hear about collaborations between countries or trade agreements being signed, remember the people behind these decisions—their hopes, aspirations, and dedication to creating a more interconnected world. After all, it’s these human connections that truly drive progress and shape the future of global partnerships.
