Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment, Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, spilled the tea that he’s gonna hand-deliver a letter of support and peace from President Prabowo Subianto to Pope Leo XIV during his fancy official trip to the Vatican. Like, how cool is that?
In his official statement released in Jakarta, Iskandar spilled the beans that the letter is filled with all the good stuff – congratulatory messages, words of support, and a little nudge for Indonesia and the Vatican to team up as the dream team of peace and unity. He even mentioned how Indonesia can totally learn a thing or two from Pope Leo XIV’s dedication to helping out the less fortunate. So inspiring, right?
The minister also spilled some more tea about the urgent need for Indonesia and the Vatican to have more heart-to-heart talks to team up and tackle humanitarian issues like a boss. He was all like, “We totally have the potential to join forces in encouraging religions to step up and promote justice, unity, brotherhood, and humanity on a global scale.” Preach, Minister Iskandar, preach!
Now, fast forward to Minister Iskandar’s grand entrance in Rome with Minister of Cooperatives, Budi Arie Setiadi, to witness the grand inauguration of Pope Leo XIV. He shared that he’s been rubbing elbows with world leaders left and right, who all seem to be crossing their fingers for the Vatican and all nations to join hands in building a world that’s fair and peaceful, minus all the messy humanitarian crises. Can we get an amen to that?
