Every opportunity for accelerated work was maximized, ensuring that the maintenance process was completed faster without compromising quality, health, safety, environmental protection, and security.
Director and General Manager Statements
Mr. Ahmad Yani, Director of Operations at PT PGE Tbk, emphasized that the acceleration of the PLTP Unit 4 turnaround was not only about speeding up maintenance but also maximizing valuable production potential. This acceleration reduced downtime, saved costs, and most importantly, swiftly restored the capacity of the PLTP power plant at PGE Kamojang, one of the company’s largest assets, while maintaining excellent safety standards.
Similarly, Mr. Rahmad Harahap, the General Manager of PGE Kamojang, highlighted how the accelerated turnaround allowed them to restore the capacity to 61 MW from the installed capacity of 60 MW in a shorter timeframe. This outcome was a result of meticulous planning and a solid team effort, showcasing not only time and cost savings but also an enhancement in the reliability of their largest power plant to support Indonesia’s energy resilience.
The success of this accelerated maintenance further solidifies PGE Kamojang’s commitment to managing one of the company’s largest “own operation” assets. It also reinforces their position as a leading geothermal power plant in Indonesia, continuing to make a positive contribution to the supply of renewable energy in the country. This achievement sets a benchmark for the industry and highlights the importance of effective teamwork, planning, and collaboration in achieving operational excellence.
