Singapura, 31 Januari 2024 – In a bold move towards global expansion, PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) has inaugurated its new office, PIS Asia Pacific (PIS AP), in Singapore. This strategic step marks a significant milestone in PIS’s vision to become a leading maritime and logistics company worldwide.

A New Chapter in PIS’s Journey

PIS Asia Pacific, a subsidiary of PIS established in 2018, has emerged as a key revenue driver for the company in non-captive markets, demonstrating consistent growth year after year. The relocation of the PIS AP office to the 32nd floor of Millenia Tower underscores PIS’s readiness to establish itself as a major player in the global maritime and logistics industry.

The inauguration ceremony of the new PIS AP office was graced by distinguished guests, including Singapore’s Minister of Transport Chee Hong Tat, Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore Suryopratomo, PIS Chairman Mochtar Husein, PIS CEO Yoki Firnandi, and PIS Director of Crude Oil and Petroleum Tankers Brilian Perdana. The event also saw the presence of numerous global partners like Petco Trading Labuan Company Ltd, PTT Thailand, and Vitol.

Forging Global Partnerships

Apart from the inauguration, several collaboration agreements were signed with global partners, including a Memorandum of Collaboration between PTT International Trading Pte Ltd and PIS Asia Pacific, a Memorandum of Understanding between PIS and PTT Energy Trading Co., Ltd, and a partnership agreement between PIS and PIS Asia Pacific.

Singapore’s Minister of Transport, Chee Hong Tat, emphasized the importance of collaborations that foster growth and prosperity in the region, praising PIS’s achievements since its establishment in 2018. Indonesian Ambassador Suryopratomo lauded PIS Asia Pacific for enhancing Indonesia’s reputation on an international scale and expressed the embassy’s support for the company’s endeavors.

Muhammad Resa, Managing Director of PIS AP, highlighted the company’s role as a catalyst for global expansion in the Asia Pacific region. With 30 employees, predominantly Indonesian nationals, PIS AP aims to recruit more global talent to meet the growing demands of the company’s expanding market.

CEO Yoki Firnandi reiterated PIS’s commitment to deploying its best talents to overseas branches, emphasizing the importance of honing their skills through global competition and interaction.
