**PDIP Likely to Join Government, Cak Imin Emphasizes Importance of Collaboration**
The Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar, also known as Cak Imin, responded to the issue of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) potentially collaborating with the government of Prabowo Subianto without appointing its members to the cabinet.
Cak Imin highlighted the significance of being productive within the government, even though he did not specifically address the matter. He stressed that the most crucial aspect of governance is the ability to play a productive role.
According to him, the more political parties collaborate, the more the people benefit. He underlined that in today’s political landscape, collaboration, productivity, and assisting the entire populace in asserting their rights are paramount.
Previously, the Chairwoman of the PDIP Central Board, Puan Maharani, stated that the decision on whether the party would join the Forward Indonesia Coalition (KIM) would be made after the PDIP VI Congress in April 2025.
Puan confirmed this decision after attending the 52nd anniversary celebration of PDIP at the PDIP Party School in Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, on Friday, January 10, 2025, evening. She expressed that the final verdict would come after the Congress.
Puan elaborated on the strong relationship between the PDIP General Chairwoman, Megawati Soekarnoputri, and the President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, emphasizing that their longstanding friendship and familial ties have remained robust.
Contrary to previous reports, Megawati Soekarnoputri, the PDIP General Chairwoman, refuted claims of a strained relationship with President Prabowo Subianto. She clarified this during the 52nd-anniversary celebration of PDIP at the PDIP Party School in Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, on Friday, January 10, 2025, afternoon.
While denying any animosity between her and Prabowo, Megawati acknowledged concerns regarding the treatment of some of her party members, expressing confidence that Prabowo would not condone any mistreatment of his subordinates.
