Integration for Enhanced Performance
The integration of the entire organization in Regional 1 and the Rokan Working Area (WK) signifies PHR’s commitment to achieving top performance to maintain national energy security. In fact, it presents an opportunity for organizational consolidation to enhance efficiency, considering the critical role of human resources in facing the future dynamics of the oil and gas industry.
Enhanced Organizational Performance
Sanon expressed that the new organization serves as a moment for PHR to further improve its performance and ensure energy supply throughout the country. PHR Regional 1 Sumatra holds the position as the top national oil contributor in Indonesia, maintaining a positive trend in 2024 with 27% of national oil production.
While oil production reached 202.24 thousand barrels per day (MBOPD) equivalent to 36% and gas production stood at 826.16 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) equivalent to 29% of the total Subholding Upstream (SHU) production.
Collaborative Approach
The organizational integration was a collaborative effort involving various stakeholders such as the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas), SHU, and Pertamina (Persero). This new structure marks the beginning of PHR’s journey towards becoming a more productive and efficient organization, emphasizing the importance of continuous improvement in facing new challenges.
Positive Impacts of Restructuring
Aside from enhancing organizational efficiency, this restructuring also aims to improve the management of upstream oil and gas assets from the northern to southern regions of Sumatra. As the largest upstream oil and gas contributor in Indonesia, PHR is committed to prioritizing energy security and sustainability for the nation, aligning with the Swasembada Energi program initiated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
By optimizing its organizational structure, PHR Regional 1 Sumatra is poised to set new benchmarks for performance and efficiency, ensuring a reliable energy supply for Indonesia’s future energy needs.
