Indonesian National Team Goalkeeper Nadeo Ready to Learn from Maarten Paes and Emil Audero
The Indonesian National Team, under the guidance of coach Patrick Kluivert, has called up four goalkeepers to strengthen the squad. Among them are Maarten Paes, Nadeo Argawinata, Ernando Ari, and the newest addition, Emil Audero, who recently obtained Indonesian citizenship.
Nadeo expressed his gratitude for being able to represent the Indonesian National Team once again, especially under the leadership of the new coaching staff, including Patrick Kluivert, Alex Pastoor, Denny Landzaat, and Gerald Vanenburg.
“After the match against Dewa United at Pakansari Stadium in Bogor on Monday (10/3/2025), Nadeo shared his thoughts, saying, “I am grateful to still have a place, to be called up, to be trusted to defend the Indonesian National Team. Essentially, I am grateful and excited about this new coaching staff. Hopefully, I can give my best,” he continued.
Reflecting on the increased competition with the addition of Emil Audero, Nadeo mentioned that he sees it as a positive challenge. He is motivated to learn from the former Juventus and Inter Milan player, aiming to gain valuable insights from him.
“I think besides giving my best, my goal there is also to learn from both of them. When else can I learn from someone who has won the Scudetto with Inter Milan?” said the 28-year-old goalkeeper from Kediri.
“Maarten Paes is already known for his abilities, so this is a great opportunity for me to learn,” he added.
Furthermore, coach Patrick Kluivert has also invited Dewa United goalkeeper coach Sjoerd Woudenberg to join the Indonesian National Team. Nadeo revealed that Woudenberg is proud to be a part of the team.
“He messaged me on WhatsApp yesterday, asking about various things, checking on conditions, and so on. He is very welcome and excited to be there,” Nadeo shared.
Embracing New Challenges with Maarten Paes and Emil Audero
As Nadeo prepares to face tougher competition with Emil Audero’s inclusion in the team, he remains optimistic about the learning opportunities that lie ahead. The chance to train alongside players of Paes and Audero’s caliber is a rare privilege that he is eager to make the most of.
Nadeo’s enthusiasm to absorb knowledge from his experienced teammates reflects his dedication to continuous improvement. Despite the pressure to perform at his best, he sees each training session and match as a valuable learning experience that will contribute to his growth as a professional goalkeeper.
The Impact of Coaching Staff on Player Development
The influence of the coaching staff, particularly Patrick Kluivert and his team, on the development of players like Nadeo cannot be understated. Their guidance, expertise, and support play a crucial role in shaping the mindset and skills of the goalkeepers, helping them navigate the challenges of international competition.
Nadeo’s appreciation for the coaching staff’s efforts to create a conducive learning environment highlights the importance of mentorship in fostering talent and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the national team.
In conclusion, Nadeo’s journey with the Indonesian National Team is not just about representing his country on the field but also about embracing new challenges, learning from experienced players, and benefiting from the guidance of a dedicated coaching staff. As he navigates the dynamic world of professional football, his commitment to growth and development remains unwavering.
