Investigation Urged for Migrant Shooting Incident in Malaysia
Amelia Anggraini, a member of Indonesia’s House of Representatives (DPR), is calling for a thorough investigation into a recent shooting incident involving officers of the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (APMM) and five Indonesian migrant workers. Anggraini’s plea for a transparent investigation comes as she condemns what she perceives as an excessive use of force by Malaysian authorities against Indonesian workers. She emphasizes the need for the Malaysian government to address the case openly and avoid any attempts to conceal information. “I want to make sure that the Malaysian government is open to resolving this case and that nothing is being covered up,” Anggraini stated passionately during a recent press conference.
