The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) were out there doing their thing, destroying a massive marijuana field in Gayo Lues, Aceh Province. Lieutenant Colonel Agus Satrio Wibowo, the Commander of the 0113/Gayo Lues Military District (Kodim) Command, was like, “Yeah, we destroyed a three-hectare field of marijuana because the villagers tipped us off about it.”
According to Wibowo, they found this field in Ekan Village, Pining Sub-district, where they stumbled upon some five-month-old marijuana plants that were 1.3 meters tall. The total weight of these plants was around 8.5 tons when wet, which could produce about 5,100 kilograms of dried marijuana. They had to burn all those leaves to make sure they were gone for good.
This whole operation started because some locals were out hunting in the forest nearby and spotted the field. The Gayo Lues Kodim wasted no time and teamed up with the BNN to locate and destroy the illegal plantation. They had to trek through some rough terrain for about six kilometers to get to the site, where the marijuana was just chilling in the open.
The responsible parties behind this field have not been identified yet, but Wibowo emphasized the need for regular patrols to prevent similar incidents in the future. He stressed the importance of protecting the community from the dangers of drug abuse and trafficking.
Not really sure why this matters, but oversight and preventive measures are crucial, apparently. The Gayo Lues District has had its fair share of these discoveries, so it’s important to stay vigilant. The TNI officer was all like, “Gotta keep an eye out for these things, you know?”
In conclusion, the TNI and BNN are out there, doing their best to keep the community safe from the perils of drugs like marijuana. It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it. Stay safe out there, folks!
