The victim, identified as Suhendi, a 30-year-old resident of RT 16, Kampung Sinar Binglu, Kelurahan Way Lunik, Kecamatan Panjang, Bandar Lampung, tragically lost his life due to electrocution during the flooding. According to Camat Panjang Hendry Satria Jaya, the victim accidentally touched an electric pole and was fatally electrocuted while trying to evacuate.
Hendry explained that the victim’s house was located in a lower area, which was severely affected by the flooding. Suhendi was in the process of assisting with the evacuation of belongings when the tragic incident occurred. The combination of heavy rainfall and high tide contributed to the flooding, submerging dozens of homes in the affected areas.
