governments-focus-on-strengthening-marine-and-fisheries-sectors

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka was all about that marine and fisheries life, you know? He was like, “We are totally committed to boosting these sectors because they are super important for our country’s development.” This epic declaration went down during a meeting with fisher groups at the Bebeng Fisheries Economic Zone in Sikka, East Nusa Tenggara, on Tuesday (so like, yesterday), as per a statement from the Vice President’s Secretariat.

So, in this meeting, he hooked up the fishers with some rad assistance, like storage boxes and 100 units of fishing gear. He was all like, “Yo, I hope this stuff helps you catch more fish and be more competitive out there.” He also chatted with some fishers and heard them out about their struggles, like not having enough cold storage or ice. Gibran was like, “This meeting is totally in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s plan to make sure we can produce our own food.”

According to the statement, beefing up the fisheries sector is a key part of the national game plan to be self-sufficient in food and make our maritime economy stronger. Gibran was also like, “I hope my visit here lights a fire under the development of the marine and fisheries sector in East Nusa Tenggara. It’s gonna help Indonesia stand tall as a boss maritime country.”

He dropped this knowledge bomb, saying, “Building up fisheries economic zones, like the one in Bebeng, is a solid move to pump up the economy using local resources.” The Bebeng Fisheries Economic Zone is still a work in progress, but it’s gonna have cool stuff like cold storage, an ice factory, and places to dry fish. Sounds pretty lit, right?
