The floods at the IKPN Bintaro Complex are slowly receding, with five water pumps now in operation, according to a recent report from Tribunnews.com. The flooding began on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, and has been gradually receding since then.

Patrols led by Kapolsek Pesanggrahan AKP Seala Syah Alam and his team on Wednesday afternoon have confirmed the decreasing water levels in several areas of the complex. “During our patrol earlier today, we observed that the water is starting to recede, with the highest point at 1.5 meters near the embankment,” Seala mentioned while on-site. He also noted that all five water pumps are now operational, aiding in the drainage efforts.

In addition to the water pumps, modifications to the weather have been made by BPBD and BMKG to assist in the relief efforts. “Our hope is that with these weather modifications and the collective effort of all stakeholders, we can help the community return to their homes,” Seala expressed.

Residents living near the IKPN complex have already begun to return home, either to clean up their houses or retrieve belongings to take to evacuation centers. “Some are returning home to gather supplies for the shelters, while others in areas where the water has receded are starting the cleanup process,” Seala added.

Moving forward, Camat Pesanggrahan Agus Ramdani disclosed that at least 250 households have been affected by the floods. As of 10:00 AM, the IKPN complex has shown signs of improvement, thanks to the receding Pesanggarahan River and continuous operation of three water pumps 24/7. “This morning, we’ll also bring in portable water pump trucks to expedite the drainage process into the river,” Agus emphasized.

Furthermore, Agus mentioned that a relief center has been set up at Trisakti University campus nearby. However, no residents have sought refuge there yet. “We hope for no additional rainfall upstream or locally, so residents can return home and we can commence post-flood cleanup efforts promptly,” Agus concluded.
