Bintang Wahyu Saputra, the Chairman of the Indonesian Muslim Students’ Union (SEMMI), has recently been appointed as the Special Staff of the Minister of Migrant Worker Protection Indonesia/Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Agency. This significant appointment was made official through a letter signed by the Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, after receiving approval from the president.

In a statement to the press in Jakarta on Friday, Bintang expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and his commitment to fulfilling his duties with utmost responsibility. He acknowledged the challenges that come with the role of a Special Staff and emphasized the importance of upholding the trust placed in him. A Man of Many Talents

Born in Jakarta on May 25, 1992, Bintang Wahyu Saputra is the eldest of four siblings who grew up in Johar Baru, Central Jakarta. He completed his undergraduate studies in Economics at STIE Tri Dharma Widya, Jakarta, and pursued postgraduate studies at STIE IBMT Surabaya, East Java. In addition to his formal education, Bintang has actively participated in various non-formal training programs, including Basic and Intermediate Training with HMI (Muslim Students’ Association) and other organizations.

Throughout his academic journey, Bintang has held leadership positions in extracurricular organizations, demonstrating his passion for student activism. He has served as the Director of the National Economic Institute of the Islamic Student Movement (PB.HMI) for two terms and currently holds the position of Chairman of the Executive Board of SEMMI.

Balancing Academic Pursuits and Professional Growth

In his professional career, Bintang has gained valuable experience in the field of logistics and business operations. He has worked as a Supervisor and Manager in various companies, showcasing his leadership and management skills. Additionally, Bintang co-founded a law firm, Trust Justitia, where he continues to contribute his expertise.

Before his current role as Special Staff of the Ministry of Migrant Worker Protection Indonesia, Bintang served as the Chief Commissioner of PT. Arka Muda Nusantara and PT. Nusantara Bersinar Abadi. His diverse background in both academia and the corporate world has shaped him into a well-rounded individual ready to take on the challenges of public service.
