AirAsia Supports Government Initiative with Discounted Domestic Tickets for Eid 2025

Indonesia’s leading airline, AirAsia, is stepping up to support the government’s efforts to lower airfare prices for domestic routes during the Eid 2025 holiday season. The airline’s CEO, Veranita Yosephine, announced that special discounted tickets will be available from March 1 to April 7, 2025, for travel between March 24 and April 7, 2025.

Veranita Yosephine emphasized the airline’s commitment to supporting the government’s goal of making air travel more affordable for Indonesian citizens, especially for those looking to reunite with their families in their hometowns. This initiative follows AirAsia’s participation in a similar program during the Christmas and New Year holiday season of 2024/2025.

For this Eid season, Indonesia AirAsia is aligning with the government’s policy to reduce airfare prices by up to 14 percent. This reduction includes various components such as a decrease in fuel surcharge from 10 percent to 2 percent, a 50 percent reduction in Passenger Service Charge (PSC), a 50 percent reduction in Landing, Placement, and Aircraft Storage Service Charge (LPAS), and a decrease in Value Added Tax (VAT) from 11 percent to 5 percent.

These price adjustments apply to all domestic routes served by Indonesia AirAsia, including popular destinations like Jakarta – Bali, Jakarta – Silangit, Jakarta – Labuan Bajo, Jakarta – Lampung, Bali – Labuan Bajo, Balikpapan – Bali, and Banjarmasin – Bali. The hope is that this initiative will encourage more people to utilize air travel during the Eid holiday period, whether for visiting family or leisure purposes.

By offering discounted tickets, Indonesia AirAsia aims to make travel planning more accessible, efficient, and comfortable for passengers while also supporting the growth of the tourism sector and the overall economy. Passengers can purchase AirAsia flight tickets through the airasia MOVE app, the AirAsia website, online travel agents, and other authorized travel agents.

For group bookings of 10 passengers or more, individuals can contact AirAsia’s Group Desk via email at groupbooking_id@airasia.com. Additionally, AirAsia reminds passengers to adhere to the cabin baggage regulations, allowing only one carry-on bag weighing a maximum of 7 kg per person. Any excess weight is advised to be checked in as registered baggage at the departure airport counter.

Indonesia AirAsia continues to urge customers to comply with the latest travel requirements set by the government to ensure a smooth and safe journey for all passengers. As the holiday season approaches, taking advantage of discounted airfare can make a significant difference in travel expenses, allowing more people to enjoy the festive season with their loved ones.

Booking your tickets early and keeping up with the latest guidelines will help you navigate the travel process seamlessly, ensuring a stress-free and enjoyable journey. With these reduced prices and supportive measures in place, Indonesia AirAsia is committed to making air travel more accessible and convenient for all passengers.
